According to StatCounter, Internet Explorer’s market share has been declining sharply over the past four years. One core reason is that newer versions of IE require the latest versions of the Windows operating system. Recently we developed an entire web reporting framework for IE9 only to discover during rollout that our client’s desktops were running Windows XP (mea culpa). This forced a quick scramble to install FireFox. We now test our product using FireFox and recommend customers use the FireFox browser for an optimal experience.
Microsoft IE ads on television are not going to correct this.
